1. 美國經濟數據差 亞洲市大跌
美國製造業及就業數據較預期差，摩根士丹利亞太指數下跌1.7%。日經平均指數回落1.7%，而香港恆生指數則倒退1.6%。
2. 香港研1,360億港元建第三條跑道
機管局指出，新跑道可以讓赤臘角機場在2030年處理最多9,700萬個乘客，以及處理890萬噸貨物。新跑道料須9年時間興建。
3. 外資5月淨沽26億美元南韓股
海外投資者在前一月則是南韓股票淨買家，購入了44.6億美元股票。截至5月底，外資持有價值3,736.6億美元的南韓股票。
4. 豐田中國銷售按年跌35%
該日本最大車廠5月在中國售出3.85萬輛汽車，主要是受到日本大地震導致零件供應短缺的打擊。今年首5個月，豐田在中國銷量為29.49萬輛，按年回落2.1%。
5. 南韓三星控台灣友達侵權
全球最大的液晶體屏幕生產商，在美國控告友達及其客戶侵犯三星版權，並誓言會確保投資研究成果，所以提出有關控告。
6. 日本企業資本開支增3.3%
截至3月底季度的按季增幅，低於前一季的3.8%。撇除軟件行業，上季資本開支的增長為4.2%，優於市場預期。
7. 花旗設立中國合資投資銀行
中國東方證券將持有合資投行的67%股權，而花旗則持有其餘34%。花旗在華目前有36家分行，預期年底增至50家。
8. 馬來西亞熔煉擬投資剛果
該全球第三大鍚生產商表示，與包括盧森堡公司在內的多家企業洽商，一同在剛果投資。馬來西亞熔煉去在剛果生產的錫，佔該國總產量的15%。

1. Asia Stocks Fall on Weak US Economic Data
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index dropped 1.7% after US economic data disappointed the market. Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average retreated 1.7% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 1.6%.
2. S Korea: Foreign Investors Turned Net Sellers in May
The government said foreign investors sold US$2.6 billion of S Korean stocks last month, compared with net purchases of US$4.46 billion in Apr. Total net stock holdings of overseas investors stood at US$373.66 billion.
3. Toyota China Sales Down 35% on Year
The Japanese automaker sold 38,500 vehicles in China last month, due to the parts shortage caused by the Mar 11 devastating earthquake and tsunami. For first 5 months, Toyota sold 294,900 units in China, down 2.1% from a year earlier.
4. HK Considers Adding US$17B to Build 3rd Runway
The new runway will help the facility meet a forecast demand of 97 million passengers by 2030. It may take 9 years to complete and will also help handle 8.9 million tons of cargo.
5. Samsung Files LCD Complaints against Taiwan's AU
The S Korean giant filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission against AU Optronics Corp. and its customers for allegedly importing and selling LCD devices used in products such as TVs that Samsung claims infringe 5 of its patents.
6. Japan Capital Spending Gains 3.3% Last Quarter
The quarterly increase of Jan-Mar period was down from a 3.8% gain in the previous quarter. Minus software, the spending climbed 4.2%, which was better than forecast.
7. Citigroup Sets up China Securities Joint Venture
Orient Securities will own a 67% stake in the investment bank joint venture while Citigroup will own the remaining stake. Citigroup has 36 branches in China and expects to have 50 by the end of the year.
8. Malaysia Smelting Plans Congo Partnership
The world's 3rd biggest tin producer is in talks with companies including Traxys for potential mining partnerships in the African country. It produced 15% of tin from Congo.
9. Japan PM Said to Quit after Quake Recovery
Prime Minister Naoto Kan offered to step down once the country has recovered from the March 11 quake. He survived a non-confidence motion as the motion was defected by a margin of 152 against 293.
10. Pakistan Border Clash Leaves 58 Dead
The fighting between militants from Afghanistan and local troops left 23 troops and 35 insurgents dead. The militants crossed the border and attacked a Pakistani checkpoint.
