1. Asian Stocks Climb on Easing Greece Crisis
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index gained 1.3%, as EU soothed concerns about Greece financial crisis. Japan Nikkei 225 Stock Average jumped 1.1% and S Korea's Kospi index advanced 1.4%.
 
2. China May Crude Stockpile Drops 3.5%
The month-on-month decline was due to the increasing production of the refiners to meet shortage. Crude supplies were calculated to drop to about 27.73M tons in the period.
 
3. Toyota to Hire 4,000 Temp Workers
The top Japanese automaker begin hiring 3,000 to 4,000 temporary workers in Japan in July to increase production, as it seeks to recover lost output after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
 
4. Nokia Launches New Smartphone in Asia
The Finland-based firm unveiled its N9 smartphone on sale later this year, which is based on the MeeGo platform. It also hoped to launch its first mobile phone using the Microsoft Windows operating system this year.
 
5. Mubadala to Invest US$500M in Indonesia
Abu Dhabi govt-owned investment vehicle expects to invest in the Ruby gas field through Pearl Oil. Total SA and Inpex Corp. were also the partners in the project. 
 
6. HK May Inflation Reaches 34-Month High
Consumer price jumped 5.2% from a year earlier, which was higher than expected and 4.6% advance in Apr. The HK govt raised the full year estimation to 5.4% from 4.5% last month.
 
7. Vietnam Rice Exports Hit 3.54M Tons
Local association disclosed the shipments from the start of this year to June 16. For June 1 to 16, the shipments were 270,760 tons. The country expected to export as much as 7.4M tons of rice this year.
 
8. Hynix Shareholders to Receive Preliminary Bids by July 8
