1. 中國外來直接投資增18.4%
首6個月的外資投入額為608.9億美元。單以6月計，投資額為128.6億美元，按年增2.83%。單計5月份，投資額則為92.3億美元。
2. 美債問題困擾 亞洲市窄幅上落
日經平均指數在穆迪警告可能調低美國評級之後，仍進賬0.4%。香港恆生指數及印度孟買交易所指數均倒退0.3%。
3. 南韓料今年經濟增長僅4.3%
中央銀行公布的最新預測低於原先的4.5%，第二季增長4.7%。另外，央行預期通脹為4%，高於原先的3.9%。
4. 索尼傳洽購印度電視台
該日本影像巨擘傳聞以5.39億美元，收購印度Ushodaya Enterprises公司旗下的11個電視台。
5. 新加坡5月零售按年漲10%
有關增幅較前一個月的8.5%為佳，主要是受惠於工資上漲的刺激。今年首季，平均工資增長按年漲8.5%。
6. 台積電替蘋果試產晶片
該世界最大合約晶片商，正在替蘋果公司測試新一代的A6。三星公司目前是A5的獨家生產商，用於iPad 2平板電腦。
7. 菲律賓交易所延長交易時段
10月1日起，交易時間由目前早上9時30分至中午，延至下午1時。2012年起，交易所增設下午時段，由1時半至3時半。
8. 馬來西亞第三大銀行擬集資6.66億美元
大眾銀行計劃發行馬來西亞令吉為單位的11年期債券，以增加本身的營運資金。債券獲AA1評級。
9. 美3軍艦抵越南參加聯合軍演
兩國強調，美國軍艦抵達越南進行7日軍事訓練，是早作安排的，與近期中國與越南關係緊張的事件無關。
10. 印尼火山爆發 4,400人疏散
位於蘇拉威西島的洛康火山，冒出濃煙及噴出岩漿，以致警戒區的28,000人接到疏散通知。印尼處在世界上最活躍的兩個地震帶之間，境內有上百座火山。

1. China Foreign Direct Investment Jumps 18.4%
Foreign companies invested US$60.89B from Jan to June. In June alone, China attracted US$12.86 billion in foreign direct investment, up 2.83% from a year earlier and more than the US$9.23 billion in May.
2. Asia Stocks Mixed as Debt Warnings, Data Weighed
Japan's Nikkei 225 stock average jumped 0.4% after Moody's issued a warning on US debt. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index and India's BSE lost 0.3%.
3. S Korea Cuts 2011 GDP Forecast to 4.3%
The central bank previously estimated the growth rate at 4.5%. It forecast Q2's GDP to grow 4.7%, while expecting the inflation to be 4%, higher than the original forecast of 3.9%.
4. Sony Said to Buy 11 India TV Networks
India media said the Japanese conglomerate may pay US$539M for the networks run by Ushodaya Enterprises.
5. Singapore Retail Sales Climb 10% in May
The year-on-year increase was up from a revised 8.5% in Apr, as soaring wage boosted consumer spending. Average wage gained 8.5% in Q1 from a year earlier.
6. TSMC to Make Apple Chips
The largest contract chip maker in the world has started trial production of the next generation A6 chips. Samsung was the sole supplier of the A5 chips used in Apple's iPad 2.
7. Philippine Bourse Extends Trading Hours
The exchange's current trading session is from 9:30am to noon, but it will close at 1pm starting Oct 1. The afternoon session will be from 1:30pm to 3:30pm by Jan 2012.
8. Malaysia's 3rd Largest Bank to Raise US$666M
Public Bank plans to issue 11-year subordinated notes to increase its working capital. The AA1 rated notes are expected to be issued on July 27.
9. Three US Navy Ships in Vietnam for Joint Exercises
Both countries have stressed that the 7-day ship visit and naval training are part of routine exchanges planned long before tensions began flaring between China and Vietnam in late May.
10. Indonesia Volcano Erupts, Forcing 4,400 Residents Out for Safety
The eruption of Mount Lokon threw rocks, lava and ash hundreds of meters into the air. Around 28,000 people live within the evacuation zone.
