1. 佳能季度營運利潤按年跌30.9%
該日本最大相機商在截至6月底止季度,錄得10億美元營運利潤,較預期為好。但佳能調高全年盈利預測,由42.7億美元升至48.5億美元。
2. 昆明市發現5蘋果冒牌店
該中國西南部城市官員指出,已勒令其中2家未領有商業牌照的店鋪停業,但是未能對其他3家店鋪作任何行動,原因是「鋪內發現不到冒牌的蘋果產品」。

該日本最大車廠上月生產59.3839萬輛汽車。本田的產量按年回落44.5%至16.8373萬輛。而日產的產量按年增18.5%,至41.9831萬輛。
5. 新加坡6月通脹按年升5.2%
有關漲幅高於前一個月的4.5%。與5月相比,消費物價微跌0.2%。中央銀行預期,當地的通脹今年介乎4%至5%。
6. 中國銀行業上月淨購427億美元外匯
國家外匯管理中心表示,銀行業上月替客戶購入1,436億美元,而出售1,005億美元,以致淨購入額為427億美元。
7. Megaworld斥5.89億美元發展馬尼拉物業
菲律賓地產商計劃把該幅警察總部舊址的7.1公頃地,改建為50萬方呎寫字樓。它在2008年以7,000萬美元購得該地。
8. 印尼金融銀行擬配股集資5.87億美元
由新加坡淡馬錫控制的銀行表示,擬發售21億股,每股供股價最多較上周五收市折讓28.1%。該行的一級資本比率將升至17.9%。

美國國務卿克林頓表示,北韓副外交部長已同意前赴紐約。此舉料有助重啟六方會談。南北韓代表上周曾在一論壇上作非正式會晤。

1. Canon Q2 Operating Profit Drops 30.9%
The quarterly operating profit of the Japanese camera maker fell to US$1B, which was still higher than expected. The firm also raised its annual forecast to US$4.85B after revising to US$4.27B due to the Mar earthquake.
2. China Finds 5 Fake Apple Stores in 1 City
The Kunming government took action against 2 of the stores which operated without a business license. But city officials didn't do anything about the other 3 stores, which prominently displayed Apple signs and logos, because they "did not find any fake Apple products for sale".
3. Asian Stocks Drop on US Debt Deadlock
Japan's Nikkei 225 was down 0.8% and China's Shanghai Composite Index fell 3% after U.S. political leaders failed to reach a deal to raise Washington's debt limit. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slid 0.7%.
4. Toyota Global Production Falls 9.2% on Year
The output of Japan's top automaker dropped to 593,839 units, as Honda produced 168,373 vehicles, down 44.5% from a year earlier. Nissan built 419,831 units last month, a gain of 18.5% from the previous year.
5. Singapore Jun Inflation Climbs 5.2%
The year-on-year consumer prices increase was up from 4.5% in May. Price dropped 0.2% from the previous month. The central bank expects inflation may be between 4% and 5% this year.
6. China Banks Forex Surplus Hits US$43B in June
The State Administration of Foreign Exchange said the banks bought US$$143.6 billion of foreign currency for their clients and sold US$100.5 billion of foreign currency for clients.
7. Megaworld to Invest US$589M to Develop Manila Land
The Philippine property giant will re-develop the 7.1 hectare property of National Police Commission and turn it into 500,000 square meters of office spaces. It bought the land for US$70 million in 2008.
8. Bank Danamon to Raise US$587M in Rights Offer
The Indonesian bank owned by Singapore's Temasek will sell 2.1B shares for a discount of as much as 28.1% to the stock's closing price on the last trading day. The bank's tier 1 capital ratio will increase to 17.9%.
9. N Korea Official Invited to Visit US for Nuke Talk
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton invited N Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan to visit New York, after Pyongyang met with South Korean representatives on the sideline of a regional forum.
10. Myanmar's Suu Kyi to Meet Government Officials
The 66-year-old pro-democracy leader Aung Sang Suu Kyi will hold her first official meeting with a senior government official since her released last year from 7 years of house arrest.
