1. 亞洲市急插後稍回穩
日本日經平均指數急挫4.4%後回穩，最終只跌1.7%。南韓首爾交易所指數一度倒退10%，收市前收復大部分失地，下跌3.6%。香港恆生指數曾損失7%，收市仍下挫1,159點，或5.7%。
2. 中國通脹升至6.5%
7月的按年升幅高於預期，也是37個月新高。6月通脹為6.4%。這是因食物成本上漲14.8%，其中豬肉漲價56.7%。
3. 東京電力季度虧損74億美元
有關虧損包括來自福島核電事故的一次性開支65億美元。該公司較早時已公布，截至今年3月底止年度虧損達160億美元。
4. 南韓7月生產價格指數按年升6.5%
有關升幅是3個月最大，前一個月為6.2%。另上月消費物價指數按年增加4.7%，連續7個月高於中央銀行的4%指標。
5. 中國海外半年盈利升35%
該家中國房地產商在上半年度獲利68億港元，收入進賬25%至219億港元。兩項交易已提供12億港元的盈利貢獻。
6. 越南容許輸入5噸黃金
中央銀行批准幾家公司，即日起可入口黃金至境內。央行在未來數日，也可能批准另外5噸黃金入口。

9. 越南投訴中國海事研究侵主權
河內政府指出，中國一艘研究船在有主權爭議的南中國海地區進行研究，是侵犯越南主權的行為，必須立即停止。
10. 世銀暫停柬埔寨貸款
該組織表示，除非涉及首都金邊的一項土地發展計劃爭議得到平息，否則不會進行撥款。由執政政客控制的一家私營公司計劃發展該土地，正迫使4萬個家庭遷走。

1. Asia Stocks Cut Loses after Deep Dives
Japan Nikkei 225 stock average cut a 4.4% loss to a 1.7% decrease. S Korea Kospi was down 3.6% after slumping nearly 10% in the morning. Hong Kong Hang Seng, once slid as much as 7%, fell 5.7%.
2. China Inflation Jumps to 37-month High
Consumer prices increased 6.5% in July that was higher than expected, compared with a 6.4% rise in June. It was driven by a 14.8% jump in food costs, as the price of pig rose 56.7%.
3. Tepco Posts US$7.4B Quarterly Loss
It includes a one-time charge of US$6.5 million associated with the nuclear disaster. The operator of the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant had already reported a net loss of US$16 billion in the FY2011.
4. Vietnam Allows Import of 5 Tons of Gold
The State Bank of Vietnam gave the permission to companies to import immediately. The central bank may continue to approve import of another 5 tons of gold in the next few days.
5. China Overseas Profit Climbs 35%
Net income of the Chinese property developer in H1 was US$871 million. Sales jumped 25% to US$2.8 billion. The firm reported a US$153 million profit from two major transactions.
6. HK Land Auction Sells below Market Expectation
A plot of land in Hong Kong was sold for US$705 million, well below market expectation. The 23,000 square meter residential site was bought by Sino Land and Kerry Property.
7. S Korea Producer Prices Climb 6.5%
The July year-on-year increase was the fastest pace in 3 months, compared with a revised 6.2% gain in the previous month. Consumer prices gained 4.7% last month from a year earlier.
8. Bangchak to Spend US$401M on Solar Projects
Thailand's biggest refiner plans to complete its three solar projects within 15 months. The expansion will help boost earning before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization to US$73.51 million from US$3.84 million currently.
9. Vietnam Salms China Survey in Disputed Sea
The Southeast Asian country has accused Beijing of violating its sovereignty with a scientific survey in South China Sea. Hanoi called on China to immediately halt and refrain from further such acts.
10. World Bank Suspends New Cambodia Loan over Evictions
The organisation said it will not provide any new loans until Cambodia resolved a dispute about a mass eviction of 40,000 homes in the capital. A private firm controlled by ruling party politicians may use the land for commercial development.
