1. 聯儲局出招撐經濟 亞洲市反彈
美國聯儲局宣布維持低息至2013年年中,以支持經濟復蘇,摩根士丹利亞太指數在東京午市時升2.5%。日經平均指數全日進賬1.1%,香港恆指漲2.3%,而周二休市的新加坡,則下挫2.18%。
2. 中國7月出口按年升20.4%
7月付運貨值為1,751億美元。前一個月的出口增長為17.9%。7月進口貨值按年增22.9%至1,436億美元,6月進口增幅則為19.3%。貿易順差在7月增至314.8億美元。
3. 星航訂購23億美元新飛機
新加坡最大航空公司向波音公司簽約,訂購8部777-300ER客機。另香港國泰航空也買4部賬面值10.91億美元的777-300ER及8部售價21.91億美元的777-200F客機。
4. 南韓上月失業率3.3%
7月的經調整後失業率,與6月相同,略低於市場預期。南韓上月較去年同期增加33.5萬份職位。
5. 匯控減持300億美元風險加權資產
該家在香港上市的銀行巨擘同意,出售美國信用卡及零售業務予Capital One銀行。此舉有助匯控獲得24億美元的稅後收益。
6. 新加坡降出口增長預測
政府估計今年非石油本地出口貨值的增長介乎6%至7%,低於原先預期的8%至10%。政府也公布,第二季經濟按季下跌6.5%。
7. 中國7月乘用車銷售升6.7%
上月的乘用車銷量為101萬輛,總汽車銷量按年增2.2%至128萬輛。首7月的乘用車銷售升5.9%至810萬輛,總銷量則錄得3.2%上升。
8. 菲律賓6月出口按年跌10.2%
出口貨值降至41億美元。跌幅是2009年以來最大,前一月的跌幅為3.1%。電子產品銷售按年跌23.9%,至22.1億美元。
9. 北韓向延坪島海域發炮 南韓還擊
南韓軍方表示,北韓海軍在黃海向延坪島附近海域三度發炮。南韓軍隊隨後開炮三次還擊。平壤正在海上邊境舉行軍事演習。
10. 中國首部航空母艦試航
該戰艦是購自前蘇聯共和國,經改裝後成為北京研究及訓練航母船員的艦隻。這次試航也加深了該區其他國家對中國軍力擴張的憂慮。

1. Asian Stocks Rebound from Rout
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index jumped 2.1% as the US Federal Reserve pledged to keep its interest rate at a record low through mid-2013. Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 1.1%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 2.3%.
2. China July Exports Climb 20.4% on Year
Exports growth was up from 17.9% in the previous month. Imports gained 22.9%, compared with 19.3% gain in June. Exports jumped to US$175.1 billion and imports valued US$143.5 billion, while trade surplus expanded to US$31.48 billion.
3. Singapore Airline Orders US$2.3B Aircraft
The carrier purchased eight more Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts that have a total list price of US$2.3 billion. Cathay Pacific Airways will aldo buy four 777-300ER for US$1.091 billion and eight 777-200F for US$2.191 billion.
4. S Korea Unemployment Rate 3.3% in July
The seasonally-adjusted jobless rate was unchanged from the previous month and lower than expected. The country added 335,000 jobs compared to the previous year.
5. HSBC Unloads US$30B US Risk-weighted Assets
The Hong Kong-listed bank sold its US credit card and retail service business to Capital One. The deal will help HSBC to book a post-tax gain of US$2.6 billion.
6. Singapore Cuts Export Growth Forecast
The country expects non-oil domestic exports to grow 6% to 7% in 2011, lower than a previous growth forecast of 8% to 10%. Its GDP in Q2 dropped an annualized 6.5% from the previous quarter.
7. China July Passenger Car Sales Climb 6.7% on Year
The country sold 1.01 million units last month. Total vehicle sales gained 2.2% to 1.28M. For the first 7 months, passenger car sales jumped 5.9% to 8.1 million while total vehicle sales increased 3.2%.
8. Philippine Exports Drop Most since 2009
Shipments abroad fell 10.2% from a year earlier to US$4.1 billion, compared with a 3.1% decline in May. Electronics sales plummeted 23.9% to US$2.21 billion.
9. North, South Korea Exchange Fire along Sea Border
S Korean marines has returned fire after 3 N Korean artillery shells fell into waters near the sea border. S Korean forces have been on high alert in the area since a North attack killed 4 people in November on S Korea's Yeonpyeong Island.
10. China's First Aircraft Carrier Starts Sea Trial
The ship is former Soviet craft that China acknowledged a month ago it was rebuilding for research and training, fueling concerns about its growing military strength amid regional territorial disputes.
