Net income of the nation's largest bank jumped to US$14.5 billion in the 6 months ended June, metting expectations. Net Interest income in the period jumped 24%, while fee income advanced 42%.
 
2. S Korea Household Debt Jumps to Record-high US$806B
Household credits advanced US$17.4 billion in Apr-Jun period from the previous quarter, making the biggest quarterly jump ever. The debt climbed 9.1% from a year earlier.
 
3. Taiwan Unemployment Rate Drops to 4.37%

Pyongyang ordered 14 S Korean workers at its east coast Diamond Mountain resort to leave within 72 hours, as both countries failed to make progress to restart cross-border tours. S Korean assets are also banned from being removed from the site.
