1. 中國外來直接投資按年增11.1%
商務部表示,8月份的外來投資額為84.5億美元。7月的漲幅為19.8%。今年首8月的投資額為775億美元,按年上升17.7%
2. 歐央行注資 亞洲市攀升
歐洲多國央行支持歐洲金融體系,刺激日本日經平均指數及南韓首爾證交所指數進賬2.3%及3.7%。香港恆生指數也上升1.4%。
3. 新加坡非石油出口漲5.1%
8月的有關增長優於7月的2.8%按年降幅,而電子業出口貨值在上月下跌19%,而前一個月的降幅為17%。
4. 三菱物料盼增產最多17%
日本第三大煉銅集團計劃把今年10月至明年3月的產量提升,達到每月2.4萬至2.5萬噸。該公司今年4月至9月的產量為2.14萬噸。
5. 中信證券香港掛牌籌151億港元
中國最大證券商計劃發售9.953億H股,每股作價12.84港元至15.2港元。這是今年6月Prada上市集資198億港元以來的最大集資。
6. 曼聯獲准在星交所上市
新加坡交易所批准該家英超著名球會上市。有關售股安排可能在今年內進行,但是也可能延後。據報曼聯將出售30%股份,集資約10億美元。
7. 現代重工為越南建12.7億美元電廠
該南韓電廠是由越南電力投資興建。該廠的年產電量為65億千瓦小時,首個發電機組預期2015年首季啟用。
8. 印度調高利率0.25%
中央銀行把短期借貸利率上升至8.25%。印度過去18個月把利率上調12次,以壓抑通脹。
9. 中國因鉛毒疑慮關閉美國廠
上海監管當局命令一家電磁廠及一家汽車零件廠暫時關閉,其中一家是美國公司持有。該兩廠懷疑與當地兒童血液驗出含有大量鉛有關。
10. 南韓反駁平壤重啟金剛山安排
首爾要求外國政府,不要理會北韓推廣吸引外國旅客的金剛山度假村計劃。兩韓已經合作發展該計劃多年,但是2008年因北韓士兵射殺一個南韓遊客,而被首爾叫停。

1. China Foreign Direct Investment Jumps 11.1%
The country attracted US$8.45 billion in August, up 11.1% from a year earlier. For the first 8 months of 2011, China took a total of US$77.6 billion, up 17.7% year-on-year. In July, the increase was 19.8%.
2. Asia Stocks Rally after European Central Banks Decision
Japan's Nikkei 225 index jumped 2.3% as S Korea's Kospi rose 3.7% after the central banks decided to take action to support the region's financial sector. Hong Kong's Hang Seng also gained 1.4%.
3. Singapore Aug NODX Climbs 5.1% on Year
The increase in non-oil domestic exports was accelerating from a 2.8% decline in July. Electronic NODX contracted 19% year-on-year last month, compared with a 17% decline in July.
4. Mitsubishi Materials to Boost Copper Output by 17%
Japan's 3rd largest copper producer expects to raise its monthly production to 24,000 tons to 25,000 tons from Oct to Mar. It originally planned to produce 21,396 tons from Apr to Sep.
5. Citic Securities to Seek US$1.9B in Stock Sale
The biggest brokerage in China was offering 995.3 million shares in its Hong Kong IPO at a price between US$1.65 and US$1.95. It will be the largest share sale in the territory since Prada raised US$2.5 billion in June.
6. Man Utd Listing in Singapore Approved
The nation's stock exchange has approved an application by the English football giant to sell the shares. It was reported United could raise US$1 billion from an IPO of 30% of its shares, which would value the company at more than US$3 billion.
7. Hyundai Engineering to Build US$1.27B Vietnam Plant
The S Korean contractor will build a new power plant for Vietnam Electricity. The plant is expected to generate 6.5 billion kilowatts hours annually and the first turbine may start operation in Q1 of 2015.
8. India Raises Rate by 0.25% to Curb Inflation
The nation's central bank increased the short-term lending rate to 8.25% from 8%. India revised the rate upward by a dozen times over the last 18 months.
9. China Shuts US Plant over Lead Poisoning
Authorities in Shanghai said they had ordered the temporary closure of 2 plants over fears they may be responsible for lead poisoning in children, as excess level of lead in their blood were found in early Sep.
10. S Korea to Scuttle North's Tour Program
Seoul was asking foreign governments to ignore N Korea's push to open a tourist resort the Koreas once ran jointly to international investors. Tours were suspended after a N Korean soldier was fatally shot.
