1. 聯儲局看淡美經濟 亞洲市大瀉
在美國聯儲局發表評論,表示對經濟悲觀後,日本日經平均指數下跌2.1%。摩根士丹利亞太指數(未計日本)大挫4.3%。港股更出現恐慌性拋售,恆指收報17,911.95,急瀉912.22點。
2. 中國製造業連續3月收縮
9月的匯豐PMI預覽值為49.4,低於前一月的49.9。產出指數由50.2降至49.2,而新出口訂單指數跌幅更大。
3. 三星102億美元新廠投產
該南韓電子巨擘表示,該家用20納米技術生產DRAM晶片的廠房,已開始大規模生產。三星在全球DRAM市場的佔有率已達41.6%。
4. 全日空料波音787可年慳1.3億美元燃料成本
該家日本航空公司估計,把部分航班轉由787客機飛行後,便可達到上述節省成本目標。全日空在2018年之前,將接收55架787客機。
5. 香港億萬富翁豪宅平均價全球最貴

1. Asia Stocks Plunge on Grim US Outlook
Japan's Nikkei Index dropped 2.1% after the Federal Reserve warned there were downside risks to the US economic outlook. MSCI's Asia Pacific index outside Japan slumped 4.3%.
2. China Manufacturing Sector Contracts for 3rd Month
The flash HSBC Manufacturing purchasing managers' index dropped to 49.4 in September, down from 49.9 in August. Manufacturing output index slid to 49.2 from 50.2 while new export orders fell at a faster pace.
3. Samsung US$10.2B Plant Kicks Off Service
The S Korean giant has started mass production of the advance DRAM chips, which used 20-nanometer process technology. Samsung had market shares of 41.6% in the global DRAM market in Q2.
4. ANA Says Boeing 787s to Save US$130.6M a Year in Fuel
All Nippon Airway expects to save fuel costs by shifting some flights to Boeing 787 planes. The Japanese carrier will receive 55 of the aircraft by March 2018.
5. Billionaires Paying Most for HK Home
A Savills survey showed that home bought by billionaires in HK cost US$10,360 a square foot at the end of June, a 10% jump from 6 months earlier, almost double that of London.
6. 4 Foreigners Said to Bid Malaysia's Kurnia Asia Unit
The local media said Liberty Mutual, AIG's Chartis, Australia Group and Allianz were potential bidders. Kurnia Asia said unnamed parties were interested in acquiring a stake in its general insurance unit.
7. Thailand Investment Incentive Application Jumps 29%
The investors applied for incentives for 679 projects in the first 8 months in 2011, with a combined value of US$7.02 billion. Most of the investments were from Japan and China.
8. Bosch-Siemens to Sell US$313.4M Yuan Bonds in HK
Europe's biggest appliance maker was rumored to consider issuing US$133.2 million of 3-year, US$117.5 million of 5-year and US$62.7 million of 7-year bonds.
9. Pakistan Car Bomb Kills 5
A pickup truck carrying anti-Taliban militiamen hit a roadside bomb in the northwest region, killing 5 people. Another vehicle was damaged and 8 people were wounded in the incident.
10. India Quake Toll Hits 104
Rescuers reached villages in the remote northeast that were cut off by a 6.9-magnitude earthquake last weekend. Separately, the workers found 5 more bodies in the debris as the death toll in the disaster climbed past 100.
