1. 歐債危險升級 亞洲股市下挫
歐洲主權國債務危機升溫,日本日經平均指數跌2.17%。香港恆生指數及中國上證綜合指數分別回落1.48%及1.64%。泰國股市跌幅近8%。
2. 電訊盈科分拆電訊資產集資百億港元
該香港最大固網電訊商,計劃把資產以商業信託方式上市,而有關信託的市值最起碼為286億港元。
3. 新加坡8月工業產值升21.7%
有關按年升幅優於前一個月經調整後的7.6%漲幅,主要是受惠於藥品生產上揚。與前一個月相比,產值升幅為3.9%,優於7月的0.4%。
4. 大韓石油擬售墨西哥灣一油田29%股權
該南韓國營石油巨擘希望,把有關股權售予國營退休金管理處或其他投資者。該公司現持有油田的80%股權。
5. 國發行擬籌措9億美元融資
中國國家開發銀行計劃發行一筆價值5億美元的離岸美元貸款,以及4億美元的本地貸款。有關貸款是由國發行的香港分支名義借取。
6. 豐田研轉南韓Camry生產線至美國
日本《產經新聞》表示,該國第一大車廠有意作出上述業務轉移安排,抵銷日圓匯價升值帶來的成本壓力。
7. 越南經濟首9個月升5.7%
有關按年漲幅低於前一年度同期的6.5%。但政府維持全年5.7%增長預測不變。首9月的通脹為18%,去年同期為8.6%。
8. 泰國期交所暫停期銀買賣
交易所是在期銀價跌至10%的盤中停牌上限後,在早上9時45分暫停有關產品買賣,繼後在10時15分恢復交易。該交易所表示,啟動跌停機制的幅度將擴大至20%。
9. 印度北部澇災31死
連場豪雨引致逾50個北部村落被水受到水災打擊,其中部分山邊房屋倒塌,導致31人死亡。官方估計未來2日仍有大雨。
10. 北韓總理訪華
平壤官方通訊社證實,總理崔永林接受中國國務院總理溫家寶的邀請,到北京進行訪問。崔被指與北韓指定接班人金正恩關係很好。

1. Asia Stocks Fall as Europe Fears Deepen
Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped 2.17% as leaders of Europe struggled to find a plan to solve the debt crisis. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index lost 1.48% while China's Shanghai Composite fell 1.64%. Bangkok tumbled more than 8%.
2. PCCW Expects to Raise up to US$1.28B
The HK-based telecommunication giant said it plans to spin off its telecommunication assets as a listed business trust, which was based on a minimum market capitalization of US$3.67 billion.
3. Singapore Aug Output Climbs 21.7% on Year
Manufacturing production growth rate was up from a revised 7.6% in July. On a monthly basis, industrial production jumped a seasonally adjusted 3.9% last month, compared with a revised 0.4% gain in July.
4. KNOC to Sell 29% Stake in Gulf of Mexico Oil Field
S Korea's state-owned oil explorer wants to sell the stake in the Ankor field at the end of this month to National Pension Service and other investors. KNOC currently owns a 80% stake.
5. China Development Bank to Seek US$900M Loans
The state-owned bank was arranging a US dollar US$500M offshore loan and a US$400M loan onshore. The loan will be borrowed by CDB's Hong Kong unit.
6. Toyota Considers Shifting Korea-bound Camry Output to US
The Nikkei Business Daily reported that the rise of yen to historic high was forcing Japan's export-oriented manufacturers to mull cost cutting moves.
7. Vietnam Economy Grows 5.7% in First 9 Months
The annual growth rate was down from 6.5% a year earlier, but the government has kept the 5.7% target rate unchanged. Inflation in the first 9 months jumped to 18% from 8.6% a year earlier.
8. Thailand Exchange Temporary Halts Silver Futures
The suspension was executed at 9:45am local time as price of the silver futures dropped by the 10% limit, but trading recommenced at 10:15am. The daily price limit will be expanded to 20% of the last settlement price, the exchange said.
9. India Floodings Leave 31 Dead
Heavy rain in the northern region caused mud-walled homes to collapse and killed at least 31 people over the weekend. It is expected the rain will continue for another 2 days while rescuers are trying to reach affected villages.
10. N Korea Premier Visits Beijing
Prime Minister Choe Yong-Rim left on Monday to pay an official goodwill visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao. He is said to be close to Kim Jong-Un, son and heir apparent of the N Korea leader Kim Jong-Il.
