1. 豐田全球產量12個月首上升
該日本最大車廠在8月的產量為62.7萬輛,按年上升10.6%。本土產量為25.2萬輛,按年增12%,海外產量的漲幅為9.8%。
2. 港股或創3年最大單月跌幅
香港股市下跌0.7%,恆生指數收報18,011.06點。因為市場對歐債問題的擔憂揮之不去, 瓻 本月累計已下挫12%,可能會創下2008年10月以來最大單月跌幅。
3. 南韓製造業信心持續低迷
10月指數值為86,與9月相同,仍是2009年12月以來最低水平。歐債危機升溫及美國經濟可能持續衰退,打擊了市場信心。

該全球最大互聯網搜尋器集團已經於香港、台灣及新加坡,購入22.6公頃土地設立數據中心。谷歌在歐美有數據中心,但是沒有亞洲據點。

由日本政府委任的專責小組認為,為了償還福島核電廠事故的賠償,東京電力公司應在2014年3月前,遣散7,400個員工。
6. 馬來西亞PNB斥22億美元私有實達
物業銷售額全國最高的實達集團表示,大股東PNB(國民投資公司)將提出每股1.96美元的作價,實行私有化計劃。該作價較前一交易日收市,有13%溢價。
7. 泰國工業產值按年上升7%
8月的工業生產指數按年升幅,優於市場預期。前一個月的經修訂後變幅為收縮0.7%。汽車生產在期內按年增長15.5%。
8. 英國石油研增印尼氣田產量4倍
印尼官員指出,Tangguh目前有兩條天然氣生產線,年產量可達760萬噸,但該氣田最多可建8條生產線,而英國石油最快今年底決定增建第三條生產線。
9. 港政務司司長唐英年辭職
28日中午唐英年宣讀辭職聲明,表示早上已向特首曾蔭權請辭,即時休假,等待中央批准。他表示,即日開始休假,集中精神再決定是否參選明年的特首選舉。
10. 韓鬱陵島建海軍基地防日本
南韓國防官員表示,該價值3億美元的海軍基地位於鬱陵島,預期2015年完成。基地位置鄰近與日本有主權爭議的水域,令南韓軍艦在有需要時可以更快到達該海域。

1. Toyota Global Output Gains for 1st Time in a Year
The Japanese automaker produced 626,817 vehicles in Aug, up 10.6% from a year earlier. Domestic production jumped 12% to 252,374 units as overseas output climbed 9.8%.
2. HK Stocks Head for Biggest Monthly Drop in 3 Years
The Hang Seng Index lost 0.7% to 18,011.06, dragging the measure toward a 12% decline this month, its biggest monthly drop since Oct. 2008. The gauge is on course for a 20% loss this quarter.
3. S Korea Manufacturers Confidence Stands at 21-month Low
The Oct index was 86, unchanged from the Sep reading which was the lowest level since Dec 2009, as Europe's debt crisis and a weakened US economic recovery hurt the confidence.

The US internet giant has acquired 22.6 hectares of land in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan to build data centres. Google has data centres in the US and Europe, but none in Asia.

The Japanese government-appointed panel advised Tokyo Electric to cut 14% of its full time staff force by Mar 2014 as a plan to help it pay compensation for the Fukushima Daichi nuclear disaster.
6. Malaysia's SP Setia Gets US$2.2B Takeover from PNB
The country's largest listed developer by sales received the offer from state-run PNB, which managed US$48 billion assets. The US$1.96 per share offer was 21% above SP Setia's 5-day average price.
7. Thailand Industrial Production Climbs 7% on Year
The Aug index was higher than expected, compared with a revised 0.7% contraction in July. Auto production gained 15.5% in the month from a year earlier.
8. BP Considers Quadrupling Indonesia Gas Plant
The US$5 billion Tangguh liquefied natural gas plant has 2 trains with a combined capacity of 7.6 million tons a year and it was capable to build 8 trains. BP may decide to build a 3rd train this year.
9. Hong Kong's Chief Secretary Quits
Chief Secretary for Administration Henry Tang tendered his resignation to the citys Chief Executive Donald Tsang, a move widely seen as the first step in his campaign to be chosen Hong Kong's leader next year.
10. S Korea to Build Naval Base near Disputed Island
The government will build US$300 million base on Ulleung Island by 2015. The base will be near an island claimed by both Seoul and Tokyo, so that the warship will deploy faster than Japan's in case of dispute.
