1. 希臘危機引發亞洲股市再跌
歐債問題惡化,日本日經平均指數下跌1.1%。周一休市的南韓首爾交易所,KOSPI指數下挫3.6%。香港恆生指數更連跌4日,周二倒退3.4%,收市報16,250.27。
2. 南韓消費物價按年升4.3%
9月份的通脹低於前一個月的5.3%,主要是食品價格升勢放緩。核心通脹為3.9%,也較8月份的4%低。
3. 東電擬發債籌310億美元
政府委任的專案小組指出,東京電力發債是要贖回2021年前到期的債務。該公司自3月大地震引發福島核電廠危機後,一直沒有發債籌資。
4. 澳門9月博彩收益飆39%
當地政府表示,上月各賭場的收入為26.4億美元。累計今年頭9個月,博彩收入按年增加46%,至242.3億美元。
5. 現代汽車9月銷售漲14%
南韓最大車廠上月售35.96萬輛汽車,其中本地銷量降1.1%,海外銷量則上升17%。其附屬企業起亞汽車的銷量,也按年上升17%至21.3萬輛。
6. 摩根士丹利日本售50億美元債券
該家美國大型投資銀行,已向日本財政部登記有關發債計劃,預期在2年內向美國的日裔零售投資者,發行該款債券。
7. 印尼第三季經濟料增長6.6%
該國政府官員預期,上季的經濟情況受惠於本地投資活動增加,以致增幅優於前一季的6.5%。
8. Power Finance發行10億美元票據
印度最大公用企業已聘請美國銀行及蘇格蘭皇家銀行,負責管理有關中期票據發行計劃。但該公司暫時無意與投資者會面。
9. 巴基斯坦槍手殺13人
警方表示,4個槍手騎電單車襲擊一架載有什葉派回教徒的巴士。車上13人死亡,另7人受傷,其中2人重傷。什葉派回教徒在奎達市郊區一條主要公路攔截來往交通,抗議該宗襲擊。
10. 劉曉波獲准短暫離開監獄
去年諾貝爾和平獎得主劉曉波的弟弟劉曉暄表示,80歲的父親於中秋節病逝,劉曉波9月18日獲准回家奔喪。另外劉曉波的哥哥曉光、曉輝及弟弟曉暄,上個月獲准到遼寧錦州監獄探監。這是劉曉波從去年10月見過妻子劉霞後,一年來首次與家人見面。

1. Asia Stock Markets Lower on Greek Default Fears
Japan's Nikkei 225 index dropped 1.1% while S Korea's Kospi index plunged 3.6% after being closed for a holiday Monday. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 3.4% to close at 16250.27.
2. S Korea Inflation Jumps 4.3% in Sep
The annual increase of consumer prices was down from 5.3% in Aug and below expectation. Core prices excluding food gained 3.9% from a year earlier, compared with 4% in the previous month.
3. Tepco to Sell US$31B Yen Bonds
A panel assigned by the government said the money will be used to repay debts due by 2021. The utility hasn't issued new bonds since the Mar 11 earthquake and tsunami that knocked down its Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant.
4. Macau Casino Revenue Rises 39%
Gaming revenue increased to US$2.64 billion last month. For the first 9 months this year, the revenue reached US$24.23 billion, up 46% from a year earlier.
5. Hyundai Motor Sep Sales Gain 14% on Year
S Korea's largest automaker sold 359,560 vehicles in September globally. Overseas sales gained 17% while domestic sales fell 1.1%. Its affiliate Kia climbed 16% to 213,102 units from a year earlier.
6. Morgan Stanley to Issue US$5B Uridashi Bonds
The US financial giant registered to sell the bonds to individual investors in the next 2 years. Uridashi bonds are debt issued outside of Japan for sale mainly to Japanese individual investors.
7. Indonesia Q3 Economy Likely Grows 6.6% on Year
The government said the growth rate was accelerating despite economic uncertainties, compared with a 6.5% gain in Q2. It believes the economy was boosted by domestic investments.
8. Power Finance to Set up US$1B Note Program
The biggest utility firm in India has hired Bank of America and Royal Bank of Scotland to manage the medium term note program, but it has no plan to meet investors.
9. Pakistan Gun Attack Kills 13
4 Gunmen riding 2 motorcycles attacked a bus carrying Shiite Muslins, leaving 13 people dead and another 7 wounded. Shiites blocked the main highway on the outskirts of Quetta to protest the killing.
10. China's Nobel Winner Leaves Jail Briefly
Liu Xiaobo's brothers said the dissident was allowed out of prison last month after their father died. The 55-year-old was sentenced to 11 years in jail in December 2009 for "subversion" after co-authoring Charter 08, a bold petition calling for political reform in one-party Communist-ruled China.
