China's biggest oil refiner is paying C$10.08 per share for the Calgary-based energy firm, which is more than double the closing price of C$4.59 per share on Friday.

7. Starbuck Close to Set up India JV
An Indian newspaper said the US coffee chain will finalize an equity venture with Tata's subsidiary for opening coffee shops. According to regulations, Starbuck will be allowed to hold up to 51% in the joint venture.

9. Indonesia Forces Fire on Striking Miners, 1 Dead
Security forces opened fire on the workers at Freeport-McMoran's mine in easternmost Papua province. 90% of the 12,000 workers began a strike on Sep 15 demanding their hourly wage, which ranges from US$2.10 to US$3.50, be increased to at least US$17.50.
